Terrazzo floor nobello

All about
Terrazzo floor

The laying of terrazzo floor is an age-old craft that can take on the most impressive shapes, colours and compositions thanks to today’s technology. Terrazzo – the Italian word for terrace – was used a few hundred years ago to put rejected marble to good use anyway. This was done by ‘paving’ terraces with it. Today’s terrazzo floor can be realised completely as desired. For instance, marble can be replaced by other types of natural stone. Other materials are also used, such as shells, glass, bricks or other decorative (residual) materials.

Terrazzo floor in a modern look

The terrazzo floor screed with the best properties

Nobello provides the installation of terrazzo casting floors in living rooms to halls in public spaces. In 2021, for example, the Amare education and culture building was fitted with a 2,500 sq m white terrazzo cast floor. While with some regularity, homes are provided with customised flooring. The terrazzo cast floor from Nobello actually has no restrictions.

Add special extras to your terrazzo floor

Terrazzo floors can be fitted with all kinds of extras. Think mosaics, patterns and lighting. This makes terrazzo flooring the only natural product that offers so many personalisation options. This is great for people, but also for nature. With our method, we create floors that are unique, last for centuries and with minimal residual product. Moreover, terrazzo lends itself perfectly to reusing materials.

Over 30 years of terrazzo

Marco Nobel started Nobello over 30 years ago and has become a household name in the terrazzo field with his own terrazzo floors and other terrazzo applications. It started with a range of concrete-look floors, PU flooring and terrazzo floors. Over the years, the focus shifted to terrazzo.
