PU Floor
The PU screed from Nobello
A PU cast floor is short for a Polyurethane cast floor. Nobello polyurethane floors are extremely popular at home and abroad. This is because the PU cast floors are produced and installed under our own management. PU floors are beautiful design floors that can be ordered in virtually any colour and/or design, including RAL colours.
The "soft" comfortable PU cast floors are flexible can also be laid over slightly less stable subfloors, e.g. wooden subfloors.
Nobello PU cast floors are widely laid in the industrial environment such as; office premises, industrial floors and showrooms. But recently the private sector has also discovered PU floors. This is because the floor does not feel extremely hard and is sound-absorbing. A very big advantage is that PU cast floors can also be laid in combination with underfloor heating.
Advantages of a Polyurethane floor are: elastic and does not crack easily, soundproofing, easy maintenance, can be ordered in RAL colours and has a modern and sleek look.
For the installation one almost always starts by levelling the substrate under which a primer layer is applied. This ensures good adhesion to the substrate. After curing, the levelling layer is thoroughly sanded. The final PU screed is poured on top of this. In small areas, this can be done with a trowel, but at Nobello it is usually done with a pump, because the areas are too large and the risk of hardening in between jobs is avoided. The casting floor is poured in one go. To finish the floor, we apply a coating. This is a layer of lacquer that protects your floor.

How long does it take to install a Nobello floor?
Installation depends on type of subfloor and drying times of your chosen floor and thickness. Cast floors can be made up of several layers, requiring additional drying time between each layer.Â
Does Nobello have its own brand?
Yes, Nobello is a brand name of designer concrete floors under the banner of Nobel projectinrichting in Gouda. All floors are made in-house and are extensively tested for wear, lifespan and hardness. Test reports are available for this purpose.
How long do Nobello concrete-look floors last?
Nobello floors last a very long time. The lifespan obviously depends on the chosen material, hardness and top layers with which the Nobello floors are finished. But as a benchmark, you can certainly assume 10 to 20 years for an industrial floor, with regular and prescribed maintenance, of course.
